I have been waiting to upgrade my AGP power mac so I can use QE, and I am waiting for this card (since it will apparently be cheaper than the 8500). Does anyone know what gives?

Just so you're aware, the 9000 is cheaper than the 8500 for a reason. It's also slower. But it should be fine.

The 9000 Mobility's QE support on the 867 TiBook is very fast.
