Its been a while since I had to buy Cdrs but why is Black CD-r discs better than others for data? And how will they play in Cd players?

I've never heard they're better. I just think they look cool myself. But I'd always heard that silver was the best for compatability.

And it depends on the CD player. The discs play fine on most of my players, except for an older one that seems to struggle with most CD-rs...

I imagine black CDRs would be good for, um, *backing up* your Playstation games
Seriously though, most newer CD players were built with CDR use in mind, so they should be OK. Problems usually just come up with older players that aren't sensitive enough to read the data on CDR discs (which aren't as reflective as "normal" CDs). I would guess that this continues to hold true with black CDRs.
