Canon digital IXUS V, getting movies off the camera?

Hey does anyone know how i can get movies off this camera seen as iphoto only seems to do images or am i missing something?

If the camera complies with the Universal Serial Bus Mass Storage Class Specification, the CompactFlash card should mount in the Finder, from whence you can drag the movies onto your Mac.

If not, then get an external CompactFlash reader.

thats how I got mine off of my camera, acutally cannon updated their software so it works in OS X and that too can also pull videos off of your camera

or you can use Apple Image Capture included in OS X, which you can download everything on your camera or select specific items (ie the movies). I use this to download and delete the AVIs off my Canon S40, the use iPhoto to download all the photos.

Thnaks i'll give em a try, where would i find the updated canon software? I couldnt find anything x related on their site

Another vote for ImageCapture. Nothing else to install, not even Canon's software (Photostich is cool though)
