I didn't know where to put this, so I figured this was the most appropriate spot.

I see some of the desks from the photos put up in the Powermac section, and they are awesome. I am looking for a very basic desk with a very large work area. Where would be a great place to purchase one? I don't want anything underneath it that could interfere with my feet. My current desk is just awful.

I'm also looking for a comfortable chair.

I've got one at home. I live and die by it. It's the best.

No way, the leap chair is better, mines on it's way-

As for desks, depends on what you want to spend. I got mine from http://www.fluidgroup.com and there's also http://www.tellainc.com/ and the smoke setup from http://www.steelcase.com

All high end stuff, but very high end quality and materials.

I've purchased the Leap and extensively tested the Herman Miller.

Look great, but otherwise much of it is just hype. I ended up returning the Leap and spending less on a good chair which isn't so chichi.

The only solution is not to sit so much, Leap or otherwise. Even with the Leap and the Herman Miller sitting a lot will still hurt.

Nonetheless, I'd consider again buying one since they look so damn sweet, and they ARE truly comfortable.

well I checked out the Leap site and I'm going to have to get a Leap Coach Edition (if I can find a dealer in Europe that stocks them). I love Aeron but they dont have a very homely feel about them...

I got my leap 3 days ago. Wow, this thing makes my back feel so much better. I have back probs with tightness and have stretch veryday to get the kinks out. This chair actually improves my posture, very nice, very heavy high quality materials used. I am very impressed. my wife wants one now, but at $750 a pop (or so) she'll have to use an office depot chair for now, haha

I used to sit in an Aeron 12-....24+ hours per day (Investment Banking) and thought initially it was comfortable, but as Eug suggested long duration and Aeron are not well matched.

The chair has hard edges around the main surface. As a result it can become a point of pressure eventually and get very annoying. Additionally, if you wish to lean your head back, don't. The hard top edge will not be comfortable.

I was never a fan of the silly bubble lumbar support adjustment, but my understanding is that Herman Miller has released a bolt on attachment with better support and more adjustability.

I think the thing to say about it is that it's quite nice if you wish to sit in perfect posture, otherwise find something else.

I don't know about you, but I'm about to call BMW to see if they can get me a 7-series seat in an office chair

The leap not only has lombard hard/soft controls, there's also a bar that slides up and down for additional spport depending on height. Really comfortable chair.
