Hi All

Can anyone help me with this problem please?

I have my old Tibook 10 GB disc enclosed in an external case that has USB and Firewire connections. All of a sudden I cannot use the firewire connection to mount the disk. The USB connection works OK. The cable is fine and the firewire sockets on the Computers into which I plug this disk are OK. Just doesn't work with Firewire . ASP doesn't see it.

I may have unplugged it without dismounting ( But I've done this before and ...no damage)

I may also have plugged the firewire cable in backwards ( OK OK stop laughing)

When I connect using USB the disk is fine.

Have I fried the firewire part of the enclosure??

Any help much appreciated.

Thanks

I've had an enclosure go bad for no apparent reason. If you have tried the firewire port on another computer and it still doesn't work, I would get it is broken.
