Specifically the 23" cinema display, the new Sony SDM-P232B/W 23" display has just as gorgeous a display as the Apple, is the same resolution and is quite a bit less expensive.

It's also a beautifully designed display.

Hopefully it'll press Apple to lower their prices. I'd buy a Cinema HD display in a second, and likely a G4 Desktop to go with it, if I could get it for $2500 with a $500 discount with a desktop machine.

But for $3500 with a $300 discount... sorry, Charlie. Don't have *that* much money burning a hole in my pocketses!

I don't know how it stacks up against Apple's Cinema display, but I love the Samsung LTM-245W 24. Simply beautiful styling.

I think they go for around $3500. Takes every kind of digital imput around. Ahhh if I could only justify getting one...

The SM241MP they even show sporting OSX.

I'm actually thinking about replacing my setup with the following:

Dual 1ghz g4, geforce 4ti
Dual Viewsonic VX2000 20.1" displays
Klipsch 2.1 system

Any thoughts?

I would have bought this instead of my formac 2010 but

a: no DVI port
b: no OSX drivers - monitor wont leave 1600x1200 stretched mode

if they fix both of these I'll get one in blue
