I have just purchased a T68i for myself since the expierence with the company T68 was perfect. But then, when I tried to pair the new T68i with my Mac.... no way!
I tried removing the T68 I had (the company one) from the Bluetooth panel and then tried to pair the T68i but couldn't. Then I try back with the T68 and works fine!!! this is crazy...
Please help!

My T68i works fine!
Try initialising the pairing from the phone rather than your mac.

I did.
From the bluetooth menu -> discover. Then it finds my computer I select it and asks for a password. I enter one and then the phone appears on the device list on OSX. From here it just does nothing. Sometimes the Mac asks for the pass. and just stops responding (not the whole sys. only the Devices panel) and others it doesn't even ask for the passwd. and the phone reports a bad bluetooth connection. 真??

Sounds like the phone could have a problem. You could check the bluetooth on the phone works by trying to pair it with your t68. If that does not work take the phone back and try another T68i.

Ok now you have me stumped!
Do you use airport? I think it uses the same radio frequency (2.4GHz). If so try turning it off. If not I think it has something to do with the phone itself, see if you can exchange it.
Good Luck

No airport. I am currently using the D-Link DBT-120 adapter from my company. I have just ordered the DWB-120M model for home. See if it has something to do with the adpater. As soon as I get it I will post the results.
(This is getting very frustrating)
I was stunned when I bought the T68 and the adpater for my company and when I buy for me it happens this... it's not fair :-(

OK. received my new adapter and same behaviour...
Don't know what to think. Maybe the phone is not working properly or OSX doesn't work properly.
Has anyone seen something similar... or has any ideas

For my desesperation everything has ended up beeing a phone failure. It seems that the phone is defective.
Then one recomendation: If you find out that your computer cannot find the phone via bluetooth beeing this one in "visible" mode and after some tries you can make it visible (initiating from the PC or other device) but it doesn't show up as a phone, go directly to the shop to get it replaced !!!
It took me about 20 days to finally determine that the problem was for sure with the phone that now I can't get it replaced at the shop and I must go through technical service.
They still have it there and I'm bak to my old phone...
Thanks to everybody contributions. I'll post the final result as soon as I get it back.

I had the same problem today...just received my phone. I spent about 3-4 hrs figuring out why the phone wouldn't sync. For me the solution was to use the usb extender cable with my D-link DBT 120 and connect it directly to the powered USB port on my iMac DV. After that everything was flawless.
Have u tryed that?
Do you have a PB 12' or 17'?
BTW once I saw someone posting an URL with downloadable backgrounds for the t68i. Do you know about such an URL?

I just got the T68i & the DLink Bluetooth adapter today and I couldn't be happier. It did take me a couple minutes to figure out the pairing situation. Although I probably could have figured it out sooner if I had read the phone's manual.
Bluetooth + Apple rocks!
