Timewarner installed a Digital cable box at my house yesterday, and I noticed that there were two firewire ports on the back, I asked the contracted installer what they were for and of course he did not know.

What are these for? I wanted to plug my iPod into the box, but I was afriad that it may mess it up. Anyone else try this?
