Here's a printing problem: I have a new ibook (12", combo, 640 ram) into which I have just plugged a new hp deskjet 3420. The drivers loaded fine, & the printer shows up in the Print Center. From my iBook I can get the printer to print a test page, but I can't get it to print a document. I've tried from word, excel & Mail, but no go. From the Print Center I click on Show Jobs, and I can see the jobs lined up in the queue. Clicking on Start Jobs opens the Printer Connection bar, which does its thing for a couple of seconds, but then quits & gives me the Jobs Stopped message. The HP site is not very helpful.

Any ideas?

This happens sometimes, let me see if I can remember what i do. First, try to print the job, his resume or start. Then it will stop, delete all the jobs in queue to clear it all then turn off your printer and turn it back on. If that doesn't work, delete the printer from print center and re-choose it, then repeat the above. I believe it's just a kink in the communication somewhere so you have to kinda reset everything.

Fixed it. New drivers from hp.com did the trick.
