Question 1:
I am considering getting a pair of DVI displays and am wondering if anyone knows what the best DVI PCI cards are out there. I have a GeForce 2MX in my Digital Audio 733 and currently just an ATI Rage Pro to drive my secondary monitor, but I'd really like to drive the secondary display with a digital connection too, as I'm sure that it will look better.
Question 2:
The display I am looking at notes that it has a DVI-D connector and I see that some video cards, like the ATI RADEON Pro 9000 Mac has a DVI-I connector. Is that just the difference between the standard card connector and the standard display connector (I-Card & D-Display)? Then I guess if I got an ADC to DVI adapter (like the $30 Belkin unit: http://www.TechSavings.com/ProductIn...oduct=12579054 ) that it would work between a DVI-D port on the display, right?

DVI-D has only digital signals.
DVI-I has both digital and analog signals, to make it a sort of universal video connector. (Perhaps the I in DVI-I stands for integrated?)

Great, thanks for the help!!
All I need to do now is determine whether I buy a RADEON 7000 (only PCI DVI card I see) for $79 or get on the waiting list for a 9000 Pro AGP to replace my GeForce 2MX.
I'd like the 4 Ti, but it really seems to be too expensive, as I only have $200.

For mac, what common dual DVI video cards are available? (I know you're going the route of two DVI cards, but I was just wondering.)
I just ordered an AGP dual DVI Asus nVidia Geforce4 MX 440 for my PC, for US$115. It won't be terribly fast, but I only have to buy one card and take up one slot.

Eug,
As far as I know the only dual DVI (or ADC & DVI) video cards for mac are the AGP nVidia GeForce 4 Ti card (very expensive) and the AGP ATI RADEON 9000 Pro Mac version (not too bad, but all seem out of stock). If anyone knows of any other, let me know. I would be excited to get a dual 4 MX to run my dual 1900FPs (en route to me from Dell).
In Macs it is ideal to have the AGP card in use because you get the Quartz Extreme technology enabled on both devices. So, I would ideally like to get a dual AGP, but for $200 there aren't many options.
You have that PC and a PowerBook G4, right?

Well, actually, besides the PC I currently only have an iBook. My GigaBook has not yet arrived. Actually, it's on it's way from California as we speak. Here's hoping for Friday...
