I was just wondering if anyone had got their hands on the new Pioneer DVR-A05, which is basically the new 4X SuperDrive.

What are you thoughts and impressions so far?

Any problems with software or otherwise (e.g. case fitting)?

Is anyone else considering getting one of these? Has anyone seen a Mac specific review anywhere?

Bought one last week to replace the factory 2X Superdrive model in my dual 1ghz Quicksilver. Fit perfectly even with default front flip-over "lip" of case. Native support added to 10.2.2. Pioneer CDR hack for native support in OS 9 available from www.xlr8yourmac.com (from user post). No problems with iDVD, iTunes, Toast, DVD Player etc. (performance seens smoother).
