im sure this has been posted before but i couldnt find any good information.

i am looking for a firewire HD for my powerbook, about $250, portability would be nice. the new wiebetech micro gb+ looks good, but i have never dealt with these things before. does anyone have any better suggestions?

also related note, if i chain the hard drive with a dv camera am i going to have any problems using imovie to transfer from the camera to the external HD?

SOME cameras have problems importing if they are going to a FW hard drive. Canon is one of them. I think apple has a list of cameras that don't import proprly to FW drives.
