Hi guys,

quick before i leave for work, I got my iPod and for some reason it froze yesterday and well I restarted it, and I got a folder with a exclamation point, I have tried forcing it into firewire mode but it just stays with the apple there.

any other tricks or suggestions i should follow? Please help!

I would try running the software restore. It sounds like your hard drive may have become corrupted. Restoring it should work, but you'll have to replace your songs.

This has happened to me. It will be necessary for you to reinstall the ipod software. I hope that you had nothing important on the ipod

it doesn't read the ipod thought, what shall i do?

i mean i went into the restore program and it just doesn't read it.

Did you notice a buzzing sound when you plugged it in, or any noise other than usual? Sounds like it's going to have to go back to Apple! What you're describing happened to me, and mine had a bad hard drive, which Apple replaced under warranty.
