Has anyone seen the Star Wars version of the Klipsch Promedia 2.1 speakers in person?

Seems their sold only through Klipsch' web site, as I'm looking for silver speakers I'm curious how they look.

I purchased the JBL Creatures but might switch if the Klipsch' are nice.

I've not seen them in person yet but the pictures don't seem to make them out to be anything special. I'd stick with the creature speakers. At least they're unique looking...

I have heard other Klipsch speakers, in fact I was trying out some of thier floorstanding ones at Tweeter last weekend. In short, the Klipsch gave some of the best sound for the money. Their $1000 speakers performed almost as good as some of the $2000 speakers that I tested. How this translates into thier computer speakers, I don't know. But, keep in mind that the satellites are 2-way, with a tweeter and a 2 or 3 inch driver, plus a sub. That midrange driver will make a huge difference, especially as the JBL's only use a single 1" as I recall. You'll probably get much better sound with the Klipsch, but is it worth $200? Only you can make that decision

For what it's worth, I was thinking of getting the Klipsch to use with my PowerBook, but I would have to spring for the Echo Indigo audio PC card at the same time, the built-in audio is crap.

Regards,
Ben

I don't know why there's a reason to go with a merchandised version of speakers. I don't see the relevance between the connection and it does not justify the price to me, but I do think i am going to get the standard 2.1s.
