Do Panasonic Digital Cameras work with iPhoto?

Panasonic is nowhere to be seen on iPhoto's compatibility page. I was thinking about getting one but if it doesn't work I'll stick with Canon.

I use a Panasonic DMC-LC20 with iPhoto and it works. iPhoto doesn't recognize it as a DMC-LC20, but it can still import the photos and delete them from the camera. I believe the DMC-LC40 will also work with iPhoto. Both cameras are great for their price range. Which model were you looking at?
It I want your opinion, I'll beat it out of you.
