Hey!

I am tempted by the Fire-i webcam on the Apple site

http://store.apple.com/Apple/WebObje...27.8.3.14.13.0

Has anyone got this, or the i-bot? According to Apple, this works with QT Broadcaster (unlike my TouCam which will be sold on eBay to facilite the purchase).

Any thoughts?

I wouldn't go so far, but obviously it should have been shiny white plastic, like the Zire, or at at least not translucent - thats so 90s.

I have had the chance to use a bunch of Fire-i's in my lab and they are great! The best feature about these cameras is that you can daisy-chain a bunch of 'em together and access then one, by one using the included software. Neat!

Black MacBook 2GB RAM w backlit keyboard!

it is a very good cam, although I have not tried the others.

the clamp is good too, very convenient.

unibrain also sells 10m firewire cable and a repeater box. I hooked this cam up to 20m of cable and worked like a charm.

go for it, you won't regret it.
