Anybody know if the Siemens S55 works with iSync and if it can be used as a bluetooth modem? On this site http://mobile.burn.com/review.jsp?Id=119 it the phone is pictured with a powerbook I think and by implication one would think that it would work with a mac!

Well, Microsoft has several print ads out where Windows is running on an old Mac tower, so that should tell you something about press images.

However, the specs mention that it supports SyncML protocol - isn't that what iSync uses? If so, they should be compatible.

The S55 will very likely replace my S35 when my mobile provider sponsors a new cellphone in a couple of weeks.

I got an email back from Siemens Ireland. This is what it reads
"In relation to your e-mail regarding which programs can you use with your
Siemens S55, it is only possible to connect it to either Windows 98 (and
newer versions) Microsoft Outlook, and Lotus Notes. "

I guess I should start looking at the t68i. It is dissapointing though! I wonder have they even checked the phone on a mac!

That's like .............. a bummer.

Siemens has long been pretty unaware of the Mac platform. However, I'd think that if Apple decides to add support to iSync, it shouldn't be a problem...?
