I currently have an Airport (latest version) hooked up to my cable modem in my apartment. However, I will be gone for about 3-4 weeks and was wondering what I should do with the aiport. The airport is constantly flickering and accessing the cable modem. Should I unplug the airport while I am gone, or should I just unplug the ethernet cord from the cable modem to the airport...then would the airport automatically go to sleep?

Any help would be appreciated...

Thanks,
DJ

In all honesty, you can just leave it plugged in if you want to but if you don't want to waste the electricty (or worry about someone using your connection if you don't have WEP enabled) then just unplug it til you come back...

Personally, I would just leave it plugged in but that is me... Just do whatever makes you feel more comfortable... I would just as soon unplug it from the wall (power) than pull the ethernet cord on it though if you're gonna go that route...
