i was at the apple store yesterday playing with a dual ghz powermac with a powermate attached, and noticed when i was in the finder and gave the ol powermate a twirl, the "volume popup" popped up and changed as i twirled the powermate.

my powermate at home doesnt do this? i have the 1.5.1 drivers? anyone?

Don't know if it makes a difference but the Powermate Drivers are up to 1.5.2 and there is also a beta out there... I have a Powermate but rarely use it because I've had problems with it interfering with my iSub volume... You might want to upgrade your drivers to 1.5.2 though???

I would send them an e-mail. I e-mailŽed them a few weeks ago asking about compability with powermate/QTPro and recieved very fast and friendly support.

griffin technologys email support is pretty rad. i got my response today.

apparently you have to set it up a bit differently than i had it set up. in "global settings, you set it for change key/special keys/volume up (or down) instead of just the "volume up" setting under "computer action".
