I'm really torn between the Kensington Studio Mouse and the Logitech MX 300 for my new G4. I've read about every review on the internet for the Studio Mouse and it kind of ends up to be a wash. Many like it while many don't.
Here's what I'm asking of you. . . Tell me what you think. Price is no object here (it's going to be a Christmas present for me), so don't worry about that. My parents have a Logitech MouseMan (I think), so I'm familiar with the general feel of their mice. I myself am moving from a Pro Mouse and have never had a three button mouse for my own computer before. Aesthetics are important to me, but so is form and function. I really like the looks of the Studio Mouse and the scroll sensor intrigues me. Is there something major (I mean major, as in I could never work around it) that should prevent me from getting one? Fire away!

Studio mouse feels TERRIBLY in my hand - not at all right. I despise it and LOVE the other kensingtons, personally. Sensor scroll wheel isn't very reliable. Looks great, though.
Go Logitech, between the two options.

Logitech... Fluidity, micro-like control and smooth as silk. Feels much more solid and better built.

Well, you title only mentioned the company names, and not mouse, so I'll chime in:
Kensington ExpertMouse Pro or TurboMouse Pro. Incredible large ergonomic trackball with lots of flexibility. If you haven't tried one, do so before you purchase, even if you don't think you'd like a trackball. They're so smooth, precise and have great drivers. Just a thought...

I've tried the StudioMouse for about 4 months and was really not pleased with it. I now have a Logitech 500MX that I'm very happy with. Kensington's software is more versatile, but the Logitech mouse is by far superior to the Studiomouse.

I have the Logitech MX700, my sister has the Kensington Wireless Studio Mouse, to me there's no competition the Logitech is vastly superior in feel, function, & quality.
The Studio mouse is very flat on top, the Logitech feels much more ergonomic at least in my hand.

Well, I broke down and bought the Studio Mouse from the Apple Store today. It just looked too cool. I heard more good reviews about it than bad, so I just took the plunge. I'm not a real stickler for mice (I loved the hockey puck, believe it or not), so I'm sure I'll be ok. I'll post my thoughts later if you want.

Let me know what you thought of it. I was trying to decide between those 2 as well but so far ive been too lazy to buy a new one. My wrist gets really sore using the pro mouse after a few hours of browsing, etc. I need a reliable scroll wheel.

No worries. I did read in one review that the reviewer found his finger to be less stressed after hours of using the scroll pad when compared to using a scroll wheel. (Did that make sense?) I'm thinking the scroll pad will be a nice addition. Plus, it won't gum up.
