I know Umax doesn't support this scanner in OS X is there another app I could use? I really don't want to use classic anymore and I miss Twain support for PhotoShop.

I am also stuck with a Umax 2100. The problem with their scanners is they are not native USB. They are parallel scanners with internal parallel-USB adapters. All of the third party utilities I've seen only support native USB. I will be getting a new Epson scanner soon because I'm tired of booting to OS 9 to scan.

Another bad thing about UMAX while we're on the subject. They killed the company they started MaxGate not too long after they shipped my router UGate-3300, It was a great router for the money, even MacWorld gave it a top rating, because it had wireless and the ability to do a dynamic DNS server. My current problem is that they don't support that server stuff anymore, as best as I can tell. NO notice to customers, nothing, the website just vanished and no one would return calls (i even tracked down the domain name holders and emailed them, no reply but no bounce) ARRG, UMAX you are awful!!!
