I am very interested in purchasing an eyetv, however, I am not sure if I will be happy with the quality. If you have an eyetv would you please give me your take on it and please post or send me some sample video that you recorded at the highest setting.

Thanks,
PJ

Please search the forum. There is a recent thread on this topic. Actually, as I post, it is right beneath yours.

I'm the resident Eye TV whore, as I really dig the device. Here are some screen captures I made awhile ago for people to look at. If you watch from a few feet away, they look pretty great. Honestly, how often will you watch fullscreen sitting in your chair on a 17 inch monitor? you wouldn't do that with a normal TV...What I like to do is have the small size in the corner of my monitor, which has perfect quality (better than vhs) while Im chatting or looking at websites. It's perfect and easy.

the only thing stopping me from buying this is the video quality. It looks ok if you burn them to vcd but even then it is slightly lower than vhs quality.

lets see what comes out at macworld...
