1. A full color, high resolution OLED touch-sensitive screen covering about all of the main surface with NO moving parts except for the HD. Touching the screen would display virtual buttons depending on what type of media is being displayed/listened to (i.e. mp3/4 audio/video, bookreader...). Screen size could be up to 5x7"...

2. If it still has a clock, it should have a separate lithium battery to maintain a hardware clock.

3. Increase the size of the cache.

4. 803.11 connectivity for streaming?

5. A web browser?

6. Wait a minute, this is turning into a iPad

1. Ick. I have a Philips pronto at home for the entertainment system and after a week of use, the thing is a mess of fingerprints.

2. Definitely. I like the clock idea, but it's useless w/out a separate battery.

3. 32 isn't bad but I wouldn't object to more....

4. Interesting idea, but I'll just plug it into the aux port of my stereo. Besides, with the streaming that'll be built into the new version of iTunes, this becomes redundant (for home use anyway).

5. Ick. Why would I want to surf that small???

6. Steve still hates PDAs (although I personally think he hates Newtons b/c he didn't come up with it and wants to do a PDA but not until the market is right...)

People already complain that it is overpriced. I'm inclined to agree.

1. why does everyone want a fricking colour screen on an mp3 player?! what do you look at on an mp3 player...? you dont unless you like to walk down a street and stare at wild visualisations?
2. oh hooray a clock...most people have one on their wrist...a wristwatch
etc
If people keep asking for all these options like colour screens etc, why dont they just go out and purchase a pocket pc (h5450 anyone?) with a screen the size of 5x7, it would be a pocket pc and cost a small fortune

We have color screens on cell phones. Why? Should Bob's number be red and Jane's number green?

Anyway, I want no breaks between songs. Live albums with those little breaks in-between are really annoying. It CAN be done. It was done with the Creative Nomad Jukebox (I had it). MP3 framing or no, you can still know ahead of time how much REAL music info there is in a track.
