I am thinking of getting one of those Analog video -> DV bridge (like Formac DV studio). I want to know does it have any video format limitation on the hardware (i.e. if I buy one in US and use it in Australia or Europe, would it work on PAL TV or video source)??

Also, is there any ecommendation on which product offer the best at hte moment (in terms or performance as well as price).

Thank you!

Hollywood Dazzle is compatible PAL & NTSC.
NTSC come as standard on startup and you change this setting to pal by manipulating a button on startup (it is explained in the manual).
I purchased it in France; it should be the same in the us /AU but check with the importer to be sure. This bridge is great

Formac, I don't know.

The formac studio is set to one specific video system.

If you buy a PAL one it wont work in the US
and if you buy an NTSC one it won't work outside North America.
