Santa was kind enogh to give me a flatbed for Christmas and hearing all about the problems with HP drivers I ignored the instal disks and when right to versiontracker to download their latest. While there I noticed mixed reviews for the driver in general and the manufacturer in particular.

While I still can, I thought I'd might inquire here to see if a trade in for a Epson or Canon might be encouraged. Keep it under $175 please.

BTW, I noticed the Canon x30 has a 1200x2400 resolution for less as opposed to the 1200x1200 on the HP3570c. Is that a decipherable difference? It also has USB power, but feels cheap.
