Has anyone come up with a viable solutin to this problem? I get tired of having to fish them out of pockets or wherever or finding them on the floor. It won't be long until I lose them all unless I find a way to keep them on there.

Buy new headphones....
Happens to me a lot as well. But I'm not a fan of the earbuds anyways (the left one just doesn't stay in my ear-I must have a weird shaped left ear!), so I'm planning on buying better buds in the near future...

It's not only to protect the buds, it's also to protect your ears from hurting.. And your neighbours, especially in the train, don't always like listening to your kind of music.

I have an idea i'll try this evening, i'll heat the covers with an open flame to reduce them in size, so they will fit better on the buds

I stopped using the pesky earbuds, they fall off too easy and are a real pain in the arse to put back on.

*shrug* they actually hurt my ears lol

If I was going to buy a new pair of buds I would've asked about that, but I don't have a pressing need nor the funds to do such, so I asked what I did. No, they're not the greatest headphones ever, and I have about three pair of nice full-size headphones, but I really don't think those fit in a pocket as well as the buds.

Lemme know how that heat works...

hmm, well..the first one got roasted, the second is ok, looks a bit different but fits perfectly. but be careful, for example hold them above a hot plate(? i mean the things in the kitchen where you heat up things) and they will shrink. good luck!

Sony MDR-EX70LP

[edit: removed link. Sony's site links expire after a short while, rendering them useless. --tooki]

no go ! they're only 50-20000 Hz. You are probably better of with a pair of Phlips earbuds which are technically the same and cheaper.

Have to say that the B&O headphones are the most comfortable I have ever worn. Been using them on my iPod since day dot. The Apple ones hurt after a while. I even use the B&O ones on the plane. Can still stand them on a 13+ hour flight...

Worth the money and they do look very cool. Perfect fit for the iPod.

Too bad the B&O's cost an arm and a leg and the other arm! over three times as expensive as the sony mdr-ex70 for example (I don't have either ones, using a pair of old sony's at the moment).

As for the actual post, why not just keep the gray thingies off? Will it make that much of a diff?
