Hi

I just bought a Buffalo 60GB Firewire HD. It came preformatted FAT32.
I want to install OS 9.1 on it to use it for some apps and peripherals that haven't gone OSX yet.

When I try to install it says the disk is not supported. So I tried to reformat it using FWB HDT 4.5. It isn't able to do that either. The software that came with the HD can't format it either.

My question is is there some way to do this and can I install an OS on the HD even though it is FAT32?

thanks
Bill

Use the Disk Utility that came with OS X. Format it as HFS+ (or HFS Extended.)
