I want to buy the Sony Clie SJ30 to replace my busted Palm V.

There was a previous post about its great out of box compatiblility with mac. apparently because no mp3, it does not need missing synch.

I did not see whether this unit will synch perfectly with my iBook with OfficeX's Entourage program.

On MacTopia, there is a new download that says it will synch Entourage with Palm devices (Palm os 4 or higher).

I assume if i download this addon onto Entourage, i should just be able to plug in the Clie into the USB...and voila <??>

Yup, the Microsoft Handheld Sync installer download works a treat for my SJ30 and iBook.

Am very pleased with it all so far - I mentioned in a previous post my experience with being able to upgrade to 'Documents To Go Premium' with DataViz. Could be worth it if you use Office.

yes..i plan to call them too!

from your previous post, i wasn't perfectly clear that you were using the same setup as me. great!

not to make you feel bad, but eCost has the SJ30 on sale now for $199, with no shipping or add-on charge.

https://www.ecost.com/ecost/shop/detail.asp?dpno=642924

when you put it in your shopping cart, it goes to $199.

Everything is cheaper in the US...

Saying that, I got mine the day Sony released it in the UK and it has gone down slightly to £199 - about US$300 or so!
