Has anyone complied a list of burners that Macs will recognize if put into a Firewire external case?

A link or anything would be great

Using Roxio Toast on OS X or OS 9: all of em.
Using iTunes/Disc Burner: see http://www.apple.com/itunes/compatibility/ (OS X only... OS 9 drive support development stopped after the 24x writers)
