Hey Guys, sorry for such a silly question, but I just bought my iPod this afternoon and can't for the life of me figure our how to burn a cd to the iPod. All the promo material says you can rip a cd to the iPod in 10 seconds, but I can't seem to do it without importing the cd onto my computer's hard drive. is there a way around this?

thanks.

Yes it is a silly question
You have to rip the CD to the harddrive and when you plug your iPod in iTunes will automatically copy them to it.
You will love your iPod, I made the move from MD and haven't looked back

and if you set itunes to update your ipod songs manually, you can then erase the cd from the harddrive (itunes) without worrying about itunes then automatically erasing it from the ipod. but no, ripping a cd directly into the ipod won't work - it must be done through itunes (or on a pc, another audio managing app).
one post closer to five stars
