Hi,

Im interested in buying a Samsung 170 MP Monitor with TV Tuner. With this monitor I will have a monitor for my iBook 600mhz and a television as well. Does anybody have any experience with this monitor?

Regards,

Johan

I have no experience about just that model that you are refering to. But Samsung is a good brand and their monitors have always been a great value. Samsung is also one of those that makes TFT displays for Apple.

My local Best Buy has about 10 of these (actually, I think there are 171MP's) monitors set up at its help desk. I looked at them and the color seemed real nice, but there was a bit of ghosting, a little more than my TiBook's screen. In the then I ended up getting a 172t, because the lack of DVI on the 171MP turned me off. I mean, if the 171MP has RCA, S video, and can accept HDTV, why doesn't it have DVI capability? But this is a non-issue on your iBook. Besides small TV's are only 150-200 dollars for a nice one.

Regards,
Ben
