I have a 5.1 altec lansing speaker system hooked up to my flat panel imac. Sounds pretty good.
Can I buy the new sonica theater usb device and connect it via usb to my mac and directly to my speakers to get better surround sound? Is this how this device works?

Great story. Thanks for the link. Sounds like the Apple DVD player sucks. But it also sounds like Apple is making a major push for sound, so hopefully that will be fixed in 10.3.

Tony Hawk and a few others tools with the boards are PC only. However the rest are either Mac or Mac ports. The downside is that the DVD player is rather limited - even more than Apple's.
