Hey, we use the "i" prefix for the consumer line iMac, iBook, iMovie and "Power" for the pro line PowerMac, PowerBook etc. Perhaps we will see an updated iPod that will be called the PowerPod. I have heard people calling new iPod a SuperPod but PowerPod makes more sense and is much cooler!

I love my 10 Gig iPod. I would really like to see the touch volume control built into the front of my PowerMac. That would be Sweet for adjusting the volume while I work. I am a graphic designer and wen my phone rings I have to use my mouse to turn down my music. The Griffen Powermate looks pretty cool for this but I really love the iPod controls.
I want you to hit me as hard as you can.

I never thought of that. Good job!

Why not just use the keyboard? Above the numeric keypad on the Apple keyboard are mute, volume up and volume down keys. On the Microsoft Keyboard they have them too. (Along with Log Off and Sleep buttons)

I knew that the "e" was for education but I was not sure if the "i" was for internet. Thanks.

I think the "i" thing has gone a little far. iDVD has nothing to do with the internet.

intergrated is the word now.

Yes. That is true. It's the same with iPhoto, iMovie, iTunes, iCal, iSync and more.

Well I don't see what being a graphic designer has to do with it but hit the big honking volume or mute keys on your keyboard right in front of you.

Most users including graphic designers have the CPU towers on the floor not within arms reach.

Well Yoda, you make a large assumption that my keyboard has "big honking volume or mute keys on your keyboard right in front of" me. It does not.

You have done a remarkable job of missing my point entirely. I really like the controls built into the iPod and that it would be a cool way to control the volume. Even cooler than your big honking key.
I want you to hit me as hard as you can.
