Is there such thing? even better if its a UK shop. I have a 5210 and the rugged case is a life saver - I am constantly dropping stuff this way with a rugged case at least I can take my iPod to school without the worry of ir breaking

I have this case and love it. It's a crystal clear hard case and works really well. Has a belt clip and a little snap on case for the ear buds.

i am not saying that anyone in their right mind would drop their ipod on pupose, but if by some chance that my ipod fell from my grasp and hit the floor, i don't feel really safe with my iSee.

For protection i would go with a nice Neopryne (SP) case. or that aluminum one

I have to say, while the iSee is very attractive, I really like the protection afforded by an aluminium case. I had one for my old Palm V that was knocked out of my hand once and fell onto a parking lot. The case got some nasty scratches but the Palm was unhurt...

So I'd say if you're looking for some good protection (not just against minor scratches and scuffs) get the iPod Armor

I really like my Waterfield case.

It's at www.sfbags.com.

It's pretty nice looking as well.

sorry if this sounds korny, but would any UK iPod owners consider purchasing the iPod armour? I contacted the company and they asked me if perhaps I would be interested in reselling them in the UK. So do you think people would purchase this in the UK?

ah right, I am just waiting a month until Crucial do their sale. Then I can buy a 512 stick quite cheaply, but to be honest my iBook doesn't feel that slow and works well with Macromedia Dreamweaver MX.

Have you considered the iSkin, though not the most rugged design it is fairly tough.

My only problem is the missing belt clip, they may have them in future. I have just
ordered one from http://www.macbazaar.co.uk who of course are based in the UK.

Not bad at £30, since the shipping from the US works out to be the same.

I ended up getting one of these:
http://www.marware.com/Convertible.html

It ended up accompanying me on a 2500+
mile trip in the mid to southern US in
early 2002.

Case worked great - rubber edges saved
the pod when it accidentally got dropped
from walking height - I saw it bounce.
Phew!

Great case.

Just received the iSee (contourdesigns) from UPS and could not be happier. Not only is it rugged with a great belt clip and handy earphone compartment (optional), but it looks absolutely fantastic, keeping with the trendy iPod "look"! Nearly perfect case IMHO.
