My 4 gig Seagate drive just crapped out on me. I saw a great deal on these 68 pin SCSI drives at DealMac. The problem is my PowerMac 6100 uses 50 pin SCSI. I later came across this page that has a 68 pin to 50 pin adapter. I'm just wondering if I buy this adapter, will I be able to use the 68 pin drives in my 6100?

Slick shoes?!! Are you crazy?!!

Hell, I bought a 50-pin IBM drive and even that doesn't work with my 8500.

I'm supposed to look for software that formats more drives than Apple's Drive Utility, but I don't feel like searching hard to pay for software to revive such an old computer anymore.

Yes, it should work, but only at the speed of SCSI II. And the adaptor most likely will make it impossible to insert a processor upgrade card (if you put the drive in the left bay).
