I have a DP450 G4 running OS 9.2.2. I'm trying to get an old Wacom tablet (12x12 so I'm loathe to get rid of it!) working. I'm currently using :

A serial to ADB converter that came with the tablet into
a Keyspan USAS28x Twin serial to USB converter with most recent (2.1) drivers
The most recent Wacom drivers.

On start up, the Wacom driver will load and ask me what port the tablet is in. It offers ADB, USB and Serial (default choice). Keyspan suggest I choose Serial. If I search for Serial, it finds only my internal modem and my Alcatel DSL modem. No Wacom. Neither USB not ADB work.

Can anyone help?! I've been tearing my hair out over this!

On the Wacom website they state that ADB-to-USB converters won't handle the data throughput of the tablet correctly and anyone using a non-usb tablet is SOL.

For the 12X12 & 12x18 tablets ONLY, they will install new USB internal components for $160+shipping (or something around that price). Not exactly cheap, but it a lot cheaper than a new usb 12x18.

Thanks for the reply (and useful Wacom conversion info!); I'm wondering if the fact thay my tablet is so old (only 512 levels of sensivity, not the 1024 they have now) might make any difference : I had it up and running about three years ago on a single processor G4 into the USB.

Am now wondering if I should lose the serial - adb and go serial to usb. Anyone know if such a thing exists - from a UK seller ideally!

Thanks again FauxCaster.
