Has anyone been able to synchronize a Palm IIIxe to a Mac through the USB adapter in OS X? Every time I have tried to do this, the Mac loses the USB connection and interrupts the synchronization. The only way I am able to synchronize with my Palm is to use the infrared port on my PowerBook G3.

You're using the Palm serial to USB adapter? I use it all the time to connect my IIIxe to my PowerBook... the only problem I have is that it always isn't recognized when its plugged into an USB hub (but this is mentioned in a Palm FAQ.

I just moved the company big boss to a G4 powerbook, and got his Palm IIIv synching over a keyspan PDA adapter. It required enabling PalmConnect and the cryptic connection name that I figured out represented the adapter.
OS X: Where software installation doesn't require wizards with shields.
