I have a great little USB "thumb drive" that I use to transfer files between a PC and a Mac that do not reside on the same network. However, if I leave the drive plugged into the Mac for a period of time, it loses the connection and tells me that I did not put the drive away properly. Anyone else have this happen?

I have seen this with my "usbdrive", and I don't understand why either
