Anyone using an Oki 8iM LED printer please read!

Are you having trouble with OS X forgetting that it has an Oki as printer?
Take care!

the problem i'm having:

Every time i want to print I have to select the printer all over again in Printer Center. Looks like OS X forgets there is a Oki printer connected?

In fact I dumped all Printer Center preference files to see if it was due to corruption of any of those prefs and now Printer Center won't even add a printer anymore...

Well i recoverd the dumped pref files, but the problem is stil there back

Any other experiences with the Oki?
Take care!

I have an Oki 800 engine in my GCC BLP IIS printer.

OS X does not recognize it at all => shopping for a new printer.

For now I am forced to print under OS 9.
If there were no God, it would be necessary to invent him.

Well 'fortunately' OS X does recognise my Oki (since there *is* a OS X driver) but it's not the best i've seen. I can still print if i do the job (delete old settings, add as new, select paper size etc) everytime i want to print

Geez... I wonder if Oki will update/improve the driver. I'll send them a mail soon

Anyone else with tips how to get rid of the problem?
Take care!
Jay
