I've seen a few of these in stores, but none of them have Mac compatiblity printed on the packaging, so I've shied away from them. I'm still hunting though.

Bringing this one back...
I've got the same question? Has anyone found a USB-IR adapter that'll work? I've got an iBook @ home and no IR port. And my Palm M505 Hotsync port appears to be broken again (I sent it to Palm to be fixed once and don't want to be w/o it for two weeks again!). Anyone tried a PC adapter? Like this one:
Cablemax IR-101 Desktop/Notebook USB Infrared Adapter

Thanks for any info!

I did another search on Google again to see if I can find anything useful, and I found an Italian page which has description on what I want:

http://www.macitynet.it/macprof/aA11748/index.shtml

The interested bits of the article is right at the end. Somneone pointed out there is another adapter marked for Windows would work in Jaguar (MacOS X 10.2). Also Apple Store Italy sells Belkin USB IrDA Adapter for 50 Euros which claims to work under 10.1 or 10.2

Unfortunately Google translation is a little hard to understand. Can someone who is fluent in Italian tell me what's does the article means in terms of what IrDA adapter would work?
