Okay, I have one of them Apple Color Stylewriter 2200 from back when (it still works).

Is there any kind of printer that meets that level of form factor for the new G4 Ti/Alubooks? Or better yet, somehow I can get this sucker to work under OS X?

Come on, I must not be the only one that has to produce some kind of output on the road. Or is everyone going to Kinkos??
If there were no God, it would be necessary to invent him.

I have an HP 350cbi. I think the c part stands for the fact that it came with a color cartridge and the bi part signifies that it has an infrad interface along with the detachable USB interface.

Obviously, it's not for printing photos but...it is a nice little printer, portable, has a little (detachable) sheet feeder and with irPrint (comes with Documents to Go) will also print from a Palm OS device using an infrared port.

No idea on current price but that's easy enough to check.

Yeah... My Canon BJC-85 works great with MacOS X. I've had the Apple driver for it since v10.1.2. It's just that the print quality isn't all that great, just passable. There are options for what kind of print cartridges you can use with it, but they're expensive for the number of prints that you get out of them (not a problem, if you're not printing large documents on the road).

That HP450cbi is looking really nice right about now. And it cost about as much as what I paid for the Canon.

I will chime in on the HP 450c. This printer is probably the most sought after portable printer available. It uses the same print cartridges that the current line of photosmart printers use. This means it is capable of printing 4800 X 1200 DPI on photo paper using HP's six color inking system.
