Hi, I want to get a PDA and would like to have bluetooth but can't afford a Palm Tungsten (unfortunately ) but I was thinking of buying the Ssny Clie PEG-SJ30 . I heard it is possible to get Bluetooth memory cards and then make the Clies bluetooth enabled. Is this true? Any other suggestions would be appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

Last I checked (about 2 weeks ago) Sony hadn't released the bluetooth stick in America yet. There are several places that will import them for you for about $150-$200 though and English drivers do exist.

Given the fact that the bluetooth stick costs so much and is hard to obtain, plus the fact that I will not be able to use more than the Sony's internal 11mb when I am using it, I just sucked it up and bought a Tungsten. I have been very happy so far.

thx,

Just because you can't afford a Palm Tungsten T, it doesn't mean you can't get Bluetooth on another Palm model. You can purchase the Palm Bluetooth card for the Secure Digital expansion slot for only $100. Also, Toshiba I believe makes a Bluetooth SD card. Of course, you will need a Palm model that has the SD/MMC expansion slot such as the m125, m130, m500, m515 and i705. If your computer is Bluetooth enabled, then you will be able to HotSync wirelessly and etc. If your computer isn't, you can buy a fairly inexpensive USB or PCMCIA adapter. Shouldn't be too difficult.

I have a Palm 515 and the Palm Bluetooth SD card. It works pretty well. It was cheaper than going for a Tungsten.

On CLIEs. Over here in the UK Sony are selling a CLIE T625C with free bluetooth memory stick bundle. It's as cheap as the old T625C and cheaper than the Tungsten.

Sounds like a good deal.
