I just purchased a cendyne 4X DVD-R internal IDE drive that is really just a Pioneer DVR-105 new 4X superdrive and it works fine. I've read that this is just like ordering a new tower with a superdrive preinstalled. I can burn from the finder, I can burn in Toast Titanium 5, but I can't burn in iTunes 3. I get the message, "CD Burner or software not found." I'm running Mac OS X 10.1.5 on a dual 450 G4. Does anyone know why this drive isn't recognized? Do I need Mac OS X 10.2.___? Any help would be appreciated?

did you post this topic in another forum? because i think someone answered.

yes, you should update to 10.2. it should work fine. i don't think the 105 was being sold yet when 10.1.5 came out, so there would probably be no support for it.
