I have had a Princeton EO700 CRT monitor for a little over a year now. Recently it has started to do this weird thing where both the left and right sides of the screens will start moving in and out. This does not happen at predicable intervals and only last for less than a second then stops. It almost seems like its shaking. This only happens at 1152X870 and 1024X768 resolutions, much more in 1152X870. This does not accur in 1280X1024 resolution (which is it's maximum) and i would happily just use that but it only runs it at an unusable 65hz. Also, at 1152X870 resulution there is a vertical line running down the left side where colors are darker. This is nothing new though, and i have managed to just ignor it. I don't really know if that is related but i just thought I'd mention it.
The monitor didn't come with mac drivers, but it was in list of mintors. I am pretty sure it runs in a generic setting because the all the hz levels for different resolutions are rounded down to the nearest 5. Maybe this has something to do with it.
Has anyone here expereinced or heard of similar problems before or know of a way I could fix it? I tried calling tech support but, they were only open on weekdays (big supprise). Any advice would be much appreciated.
