OUCH !! Some people just got reamed on the 23" HD. 1999 makes it now 57% of its old price.

Does anyone know what the response times is on the new displays?

The specs don't provide numbers.

This 20" looks great and the $699 17" has a nice price point.

I'd love to get one of these but how can I use them with my G4 & my PC laptop?

Wow, I almost spent $2,000 for a pre-sale 22" cinema display! I'm glad I held off. I agree, the 20" looks great. Time to retire my 17" CRT studio display.

System Requirements from Apple's page"
"-Power Mac G4 with an NVIDIA GeForce2 MX, GeForce3, GeForce4 MX, or GeForce4 Titanium graphics card or ATI Radeon 7500, 9000 Pro, or 9700 Pro graphics card
— PowerBook G4 with a DVI port and an Apple DVI to ADC Adapter"

Does this mean I can't use this with my Cube that has the original Radeon card? Why is this a requirement? Resolution not supported? Video Memory (I have 32MB)? Something else? I have been waiting for this and now I can't by this monitor. It such a nice monitor and a great price.

I really want this monitor so I guess I need to update my graphics card to a Radeo 7500. I think that should work in the cube, any other suggestions?

Does the old 22" display work the original Radeon card, i.e. does it work in a PowerMac Cube?

conny check out the power mac forums, you can buy a Geforce 3 to throw in that cube and from what I remember it's still fanless
and the 20inchers I believe have even higher resolutions than the 22 incher.

"Throw in?" Hardly. If it were that simple, but a bit of reengineering needs to be done and I'm not comfortable to do that (and I'm in IT!!).

It's a shame. I'd buy the 20" this minute if the Cube could handle it. I don't blame Apple; computers get old. But I'm unwilling to give up my Cube for widescreen goodness. If I need a new monitor, the Samsung 191T looks mighty nice.

Will the new 20" work on a PC (Win XP) with a DVI-to-ADC adaptor?

Thanks

Calm down. A geforce 2mx will work fine.

As long as you are running OS X 10.2 (when the next rev comes out), ya know, OS 9 users are pathetic jerks anyway
In a realm beyond site, the sky shines gold, not blue, there the Triforce's might makes mortal dreams come true.
