Hi y'all,
So with the new PBs and PMs coming with Bluetooth built-in, and with the BT adapter widely available, what sort of experiences with Bluetooth phones has everyone had? And for that matter, what other Bluetooth periphs have you used?
I've had a T68i forever, and it works great with the few utils available (T68 Client, MobileSync, etc.) Plus with GPRS I've got net access wherever I am.
But frankly, I'm a big gadget freak, and am quickly getting bored with it! I've been looking at the Nokia 3650 (with the rotary-style keypad) and the Panasonic GD87. The latter does NOT have Bluetooth unfortunately, which is a big hit against it, but it's the perfect phone OTHERwise... the Nokia 3650 is an interesting little phone, and is available now through better importers flashed with an english ROM (to change it from Chinese), and has Bluetooth - has anyone used Nokia BT phones with the Mac? How is it? Any resources on the web for GPRS scripts or general info on using them with OS X?

Nokia phones do not work with iSync as they do not follow standards.
Forget Nokia, you want the best thing out there get the Sony Ericsson P800.

Not strictly true about Nokia. There are two parts of the SyncML standard; remote sync and local sync. Nokia have chosen to implement remote sync only. Unfortunately iSync requires local sync.
AFAIK the P800 isn't on the supported list of iSync compatible phones. It runs a later version of software to any of the other Sony-Ericsson/Ericsson phones that work with iSync. It may require an iSync update before it's supported.

Streetprice in Finland for the Sony - Ericsson P800 = 880 Euro (950 $) incl. 22% tax.

Have you thought about getting a bluetooth headset to go with your phone? I have the HBH-30 and I really like it. My only gripe is that OS X does not yet support the headset profile, so I can't use it as a headset for my computer. Apparently Apple is supposed to update their Bluetooth stacks soon (it has been almost 7 months since the last update).
Does anyone have any info on this?

P800 will cost ?920 here in Ireland when it is released. It uses Symbian OS so will it work iSync??
Siemens S55 is supposed to use local sync, though when I wrote to Siemens they said that it works with PC's and Outlook Express/Lotus. It probably has not been tried on macs.

Yes it has. See this thread on AppleInsider for the mixed results.

Until we get a 3 lbs sub-PowerBook, the 12-inch PowerBook will do.
