I need a new good quality photo printer. So my question is if Epson or Canon has the the best support for OSX. What do you think?

Thanks

Use epson here, and have been a fan of these for as long as I can remember...well, maybe not in the days of datmatrix printing.
Have an Epson C82 at the moment, and it is putting out great prints at very high speed. Have not got the figures for speed in front of me, but it FAST.
It has separate ink-cartridges (which I love).

Could have gone for a "photoprinter", but for me, the output is more than enough (printed 4MP images from my digicam onto A4, no problem).

Have a look at the epson photo range, I have heard a lot of good stuff about them.
I will probably invest in an A3 printer, when I can afford it, cause I am doing product design, and A4 is a bit cramped at times.

I use an Epson and I am very happy with it. Photo quality is excellent. I am going to be purchasing a new printer soon and it will be an Epson because I too am a huge fan .

I use a Canon S630. Ok, it is not a photo printer, but the Canon printers had drivers for OS X since 10.0 ...

The quality is really great (in my case) for an occasional photo print and about twice as fast as my parent's HP G85 (uses technology of DJ 970). From what I have read, Canon photo printers usually offer better photo quality than Epson.

And another big advantage is that photos are printed really fast compared to offerings from Epson and HP.
I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it.

Go Canon. Great quality (both printer and printout), fast, reliable, very, very cheap ink.

Canon printers have better support in OS X - you can do custom paper sizes. Epson printers are cheaper to buy but they burn through ink and ultimately will cost you more money. If the print heads should clog you can clean the Epsons, the Canons when clogged will require a print head replacement (although this is rare - it did happen to me). As far as print quality is concerned it is a matter of esthetics. They both produce excellent quality prints. Personally, I got rid of my Epson and Canon and settled on an HP. Its print quality, while not quite up to Canon's and Epson's, is good, the print heads don't clog and OS X support is excellent and it does not consume ink like there's no tomorrow.
