It's weird, but sometimes when I go to print with my Epson Stylus Photo 820 printer on my eMac, nothing happens. The printer seems to ignore the print request, and I have to go to Print Center to cancel the job and try again. It doesn't do this all the time, but when it does, it's annoying.

I'm using the drivers that were installed with OS X, and I haven't downloaded any updates. I have thought about downloading their 1.2bA driver, but I decided not to after reading the horror stories on VersionTracker, and how Epson states "This file is for use with Macintosh OS X (v10.1.3 to 10.1.5) only." I'm running Mac OS 10.2.3.

Has anyone else had weird problems where their printer doesn't print? And if so, what can be done about it?

Well, I cant help you, BUT, just so you dont feel alone: sometimes when I print to my Epson C80, the file goes to the print center and just sits there. I have to click through to the print center and manually start the job from there. Weird.

Run a permissions repair with Disk utility.

Occasionally, I experience the same problems using a CX5200. Will try the disk permissions fix (it's been a while). Maybe plug the USB directly into my PB. I'm already using a powered hub, though.
