did anyone else notice the quick changes on the front page of apple.com.. specifically the image that was on the 20" monitor?

Tragically, it was an image of the shuttle taking off... now it is a bridge scene..

sad day....

yeah those were first, and then they switched the ones on the Powermac, and display section. dunno why though they were good pics.

why should we take away all memories of events the have changed history. i mean does this now mean that we can never see a pic of a spaceshutle OMG i have one in my room. please some one take it way its so, bad, i can't live with my self

Why? It's called RESPECT. When it's this fresh, taking the image down is a simple sign of respect. I don't think Shuttle images will be banned forever, but in the context Apple was using it - it's probably appropriate to simply remove it.

Yes I agree, the picture it there to sell computers, this would be a disrespectful time to use it in this manner.
