I'm looking to upgrade my 30GB internal 2.5" HD (OEM) to a 60GB or so HD.

Can I simply purchase say a 60GB from someone like OWC and then do the following?

(1) Copy the entire contents of my current 30 GB drive to the 60GB.

(2) Pull the 30 GB out of my TiBook.

(3) Pull the 60 GB out of the firewire enclosure.

(4) Swap drives. (60 into the TiBook and 30 into the firewire enclosure.)

(5) Format the 30 GB as a backup drive.

Is there anything I'm missing here?

I suppose I could install my Jaguar copy on the 60 GB and when I reformatted the 30 GB, I'd only be running it on one machine for licensing reasons.

Will I see a great reduction of battery life on the 60 GB drive? Say I want to increase the rpms to a 5400 rpm 60 GB... is that going to okay?

Any recommendations on good places to buy a 60 GB ext. firewire drive?

Thanks in advance!
